This is a beautiful Antique Mauchline Ware Box for Brook's Soft Finish Thread. It measures 5"wide x 4"deep x 2"high. From the mauchline type decoration on the lid to the beautiful paper label on the interior of the lid and the exterior of the bottom this box is 100% untouched and original right down to the hasp, hinges and finish. Note the beautiful work on the lid with the trio of 'Diamond' cards (Ace, Queen and 10) as well as the beautiful paper label on the interior of the lid that reads "Brook's Soft Finish is the Perfection Sewing Thread. Brook's Glace for the Willcox & Gibbs Machines." with colored floral decoration and trade mark insignia. The exterior of the bottom has an overall paper label that reads "Brook's Soft Finish Threads." within a period striping framework.
