A antique medical doctors percussor rare instrument. Civil War period instrument maker Wade & Ford New York. Company only in existance from 1860-1866. The head is made of 2 different size leather percussion heads set in brass, attached to polished steel handle with double sided ebony handle and 3 brass pins. The handle is impressed WADE & FORD N.Y. Instrument shows wonderful medical history with nice old age and color and patina. Is in excellent condition. No cracks, chips or damage to handle or head. 6 3/8" long. Please e-mail with questions.
