It appears to be a very early Meissen creation, and is a lovely scene done in high relief. The fine porcelain is hand painted with a score of cheerful people surrounded by grape vines. The stein is complete with a porcelain-inlay lid crowned with a strawberry in relief. The lid is made of metal that we think is brass, but cannot be 100% certain. This 1L stein measures 8" tall and 4.5" in diameter at the base, and is in great antique condition! The lid is a bit loose and wiggles back and forth a tad, but t is almost no paint wear, and no evidence of cracks, chips, or repairs. We do not offer buy it now's on our auction's. In order to be fair to our bidders we will not end our auctions early so please do not ask!
