Genuine antique (not a repro) heavy leaded glass jar with fabulous Art Nouveau mermaid lid. Lid is very detailed with attractive mermaid, hair pulled back into loose knot, complete with fish scales and fin on her tail. Waves crest as she pulls herself out of the water. Lid is made of metal, I'm not sure what type but has nice patina. It does have some wear on the edge, tiny chip on inner rim and one thin crack (see pic) on edge. Crack has been t since I originally purchased this item 20 years ago and does not extend up onto the decorative top of the item. T is a seam that is seen in close-up this is part of the mold and is not the crack. Glass jar is very nice, sparkling and with beveling to create separate sections. Jar has no cracks or chips. Very nice item for vintage mermaid collectors, as true vintage mermaids are getting harder to find. No Reserve. Jar is 5" high and almost 4" across. Lid adds 3" in height. Item is vintage and tfore not perfect. Sold as is. Returns only if item is not as described. Email before bidding if you have questions.
