's a fabulous antique brass letter clip fashioned to look like a hand. The letter clip measures 1 3/4" wide x 4 1/2" long. It is nicely marked on the back plate near the top "Merry Phipson & Parker's Letter Clip" with a date which looks like 1845. Clip works just fine and is perfect to hold your letters, bills, business cards or what-have-you. It can hang up or stay put on your desk. Overall really good condition for its age with some light surface wear and a bit of darkening to the brass. A nice collector/display item!! I happily combine auctions won in the same week to save on shipping costs!! I DO NOT end auctions early to be fair to all bidders so please do not ask. I accept Paypal for payment.
