Antique metal bullion fringe trim, buttons, cord etcBefore leaving for my Autumn buying trip to France, I managed to squeeze in three country house auctions in SW England. Many of the items I am listing this week came from Knoyle House in Wiltshire: from the estate of Sir Neville Wilkinson. Most are Victorian – all very high quality. There is a delightful collection of infant’s clothing, some fabulous costume and lace, as well as some more quirky items! I also managed to acquire a large collection of buttons from a serious button collector. There are some really lovely things, so do have a look…An unusual lot, found together in an old shoe box. There is a 150cm x 7cm length of gold metallic bullion trim - usually used for uniforms, a long length of metallic cording (too much to unravel and measure!), a card of 36 unusual French silver bullion, metalwork buttons, 33 black glass and gold lustre buttons 9 a couple are brass), and a rather battered little Victorian leather coin purse, containing a brass button that is marked "Prince of Wales". Interesting hoard of unusual items.More photographs below See my other listings for more great items!Payment by Paypal ONLY for international buyers. Payment within 7 days of auction end please.
