Antique metal and brass doll trunk is a miniature version of the large steamer trunks used during the golden age of ocean travel. Painted black enamel with brass strips binding, a hinged top with flip locks and an interior lift out tray. The trunk is 10 inches long x 6 wide x 6 1/2 deep. Leather strap handles. One needs to be reattached. All original condition, the piece has some surface rusting and some black enamel paint loss. Cute piece to refinish. There is also a good possibility that this could be an early salesman's sample.
