This is an Antique Metal Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Pitman Arm.This is the part that connects the treadle pedal to the flywheel. It is from a 1920's Singer sewing machine base. The bearings are good and the entire part is straight. It has an aged look. The upper piece inserts into a 12" flywheel and the lower into the hole on the outer right corner of the pedal. When inserting the lower piece, do not screw too tight as this will not allow the ball to pivot. Put a little oil on the bottom ball and screw the cup in until t is no play, then tighten the outer nut. Or if your upper bearings are good just remove the rod from this assembly and screw it into your bearings. It measures 12-3/8" from the top of the bearings to the bottom of the ball nut.
