Antique mini Steiff Teddy Bear, jointed limbs, 1930s-40s? This little teddy bear came to me from my grandmother when I was a child in the 1960s. It was already clearly well-loved condition, and since I did not play with it, remains in the same condition as it was back then. I believe that my grandmother bought this teddy bear sometime in the early 1920s, and that it was in fact my father or uncle's toy. The bear has the features of early Steiff toys, more pointed, less cute. As you can see, the paws of two legs are missing. Other than that the fur is in great condition for its age; eyes and nose all intact. Note: if anybody out there who is expert on the history of Steiff teddy bears can tell me the actual era when this bear was made, I would be grateful, and will correct my estimate of its age accordingly.
