Check out my other items ! Add me to your favorites list !) This tiny little boat shaped splint basket was likely made by the Shakers or New England native Americans. The basket would have held little sewing tools. It has a deceptively delicate, open "hexagon" weave and a very dark patina. While not perfect, it is in overall good condition. A great little accessory for your antique splint sewing basket, or your early basket or sewing collection. CONDITION: In good vintage condition; there's one tiny break with some loss, and I see two other tiny splits with no loss (see photos).
