Antique American Arts+Crafts era Mission solid oak rocking chair. These original mission oak rockers can be very hard to find. I have lowered the price to $350.00, the chair is worth much more, but I need to sell right now. This rocker is constructed entirely out solid tiger oak and solid white oak. It is an old one from the turn of the last century, probably built between 1890 and 1920. I have posted several pics for you to view. This rocker measures 28" wide by 29" long and 36" high.I have been told that it is a Stickley by knowledgeable people, antique dealers etc. Though I cannot find any markings to verify this. By its construction, I believe that it is a Stickley as well. (Mortise and Tenin joints and the classic, distinctive Stickley square on the arm of the chair ). This rocker has a beautiful and functional Mission style. The back is slat back tenon construction and is finished on either side with a straight tapered back post that runs in the opposite direction giving this chair structural strength that will last forever. It is as solid and sturdy as new.The seat is a spring cushion, currently with a newer cover, ( see pics ) making it easy to re upholster if you wish. This chair is in very good condition, Not without some minor blems, from the years it has seen. The worst of which are a few spots of surface paint apparently
