This auction is for an adorable 18" Morimura Brothers Japanese antique baby. She has a #2 on her head over the typical MB mark and a #7 underneath. Her head is perfect with no damage. The flake on her neck opening is a factory defect and is original to this doll. She has lovely feathered eyebrows, dark painted lashes, and outlining on her upper lip. Her painting is careful and delicate. Her blue glass eyes do not sleep. This doll has four porcelain teeth, a hint of a tongue molded into her lower lip and a felt tongue. She has a replaced pate and an antique mohair baby wig that is the color known as "cinnamon" (a bronze color). Her knit baby shirt may be original, but has some small holes from age. Her body shows wear. The doll is ready to costume and would be precious as either a boy or a girl. Please examine the pictures and email with any questions before bidding. Thanks so much for looking!
