Click Images to Enlarge DESCRIPTION THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION !!! You are bidding on an Antique Oil Painting in Gilded Carved Frame. This piece is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty. It dates back to the 19th Century and is an original oil painting that was done during the 1800s and signed by VERY WELL listed British artist Gerald Trice Martin (1893-1961)) who is listed in the Davenport and many other art indexes. It is a original Oil on Panel or Board that depicts a beautiful floral still life in a Vase with plates of Mushrooms set on a beautuiflly draped background tapestry in the background of the painting. This was VERY WELL done with beautiful detail in both color and clarity and is very pleasing to the eye and can be accented anyw throughout your home because of its size. It has beautiful detail and fine brush strokes with distinctive characteristics of the of the mushroms on a plate which could have been the artists way of expression as an offering to guests and an inviting painting with beautiful shades of tonalism. The floral arrangement was beautifully done with nice flower pedlas that were beautiful splayed with a nicely done arrangement that the artist did. The beauty of art is that t are many different ways of looking at a painting and it is all in the eye of the beholder. The artist was a TRUE MASTER, because we see great care and SKILL in the painting down to its finest details. With paintings of this caliber you can see the amount of care and attention the artist put into the piece and accomplished quite a bit Because of its size it can be placed ANYW throughout your home that I PROMISE will be a topic of conversation and was beautifully done. This came from a private estate and t is beautiful age to the piece and it shows natural age with craquelure throughout and paint specks throughout that need to be professionally cleaned with some minor imperfections that may need some professional touch up at your discretion. The frame is beautifully gilded with floral carved detail and has loss and wear throughout with a distressed finish that may have been done on purpose with a nice look to it and has its wear and imperfections as well consistent with its age. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses ANYTHING that is made today but Please understand that this is an antique and has some minor imperfections on it with its age as stated and shown in the pictures but overall its in excellent shape.
