Beautifully restored collectible piece of Americana!Based on my research, this is a style of cash register frequently found in candy shops from the late 1800s through the 20s. This was purchased as a "work of art" about 25 or so years ago ( a little fuzzy about the exact year) and has been on display in our family's vacation home for years. The home was rarely used (so not much "handling') and the home was recently sold. I just unpacked the register from storage and added photos which are now up on this listing. All of the keys work, the hand crank (knob) works and the drawer opens. It appears rare to find a specimen of this quality, with the top finial in place.
