~~~~~~~~~~ This is an outstanding nautical, probably Victorian, spy glass or telescope! It is very unusual, and in wonderful condition! ~~~~~~~~~~ The glass is constructed entirely of brass with a very nice leather wrap on the main barrel. Collapsed, it measures 10", and it will extend to 32". This includes a 4" sliding brass shade on the objective end. The main outer body is 2" in diameter, and t are three 6 1/2" extending tubes. T is possibly a fourth tube that I cannot get to extend. However, I don't think that it is needed as the lenses focus very well as it is. ~~~ The eyepiece has a unique cover built into it. It is opened and closed with a short pin that sticks out. Please check out all of the pictures. ~~~ The entire telescope is in amazing condition. Everything screws and unscrews nicely, the lenses are clean and undamaged, and the image is clear crisp and bright! I would estimate that it is at least 30 power and maybe up to 50 power! It gives a very large image! The leather does show wear, but all of the brass components are undamaged and carry a nice patina.
