Up for auction is this beautiful handmade embroidered needlepoint of a map of the US. Each states identify features associated with it like Indians and teepees, cowboys, skiers in Colorado, oil rigs in TX, and of course film cameras in Calidornia. The stitchery is flawless and done with skill and patience.On the back of the picture their is a mesage that says "I embroidered this map during summer school in Madison (WI) in 1945 . Mother had it framed later," The framing label still exists. This fantastic piece comes with a frame and glass. It measures approx 28" x 19.25".It is a dying art not practiced much in this country anymore.Thanks for looking and please check out my other acutions, I loke to sell odd and unuusual stuff,
