Antique Nepal Tibet HIGH AGED SHAMANIC RITUAL PHURBU ANTIQUE, AUTHENTIC AND USED GREAT HIGH AGED WOODEN SHAMANIC RITUAL PHURBU from Central or West Nepal, Middle Hills Area. These Phurbus or Phurbas have been used by the tribal village shamans of the Mountain Area in Nepal during their certain tantric rites and performances. They protected the personal owner against negative forces and demons during his trance and trip to the upper- or underworld. This great shamanistic ritual implement consists of hard wood and depicts a wonderful mystic ritual carving related to local shamanism. The upper part of the handle depicts three archaic very fierce looking deity faces. The handle itself shows vajra like carving and is covered with multiple amulet cloth stripes. The three sided blade with shamanistic symbols such as stylized interlocked snakes, sun, bumba shamans vase and other unidentified ones. DEFINITELY RITUALLY USED !!! Condition: great condition, dark very glossy and smooth polished patina , excellent signs of ritual use and age . Age: 19th to early 20th century. ANTIQUE ONE !!! Size: Length 19.9 cm.
