ANTIQUE, AUTHENIC AND USED WOODCARVED ARCHAIC BUTTERCHURN called NETI or GHURRA from Central or North Nepal. These very archaic Items have been used by the Mountain Population of Himalaya during the production of butter. Most of these items show some carved decoration, which is related to Local Shamanistic Traditions as well as to Buddhist or Hinduist Influence. This nice massive Butterchurn is made of hard wood and shows a sculptural carved Design. The deep darkened surface is well patinated. Condition: very good condition, no damage, superb deep dark soot patina, good age with signs of use. Age: early 20th century. Size: Length 30.4 cm.
