Antique Oak Garland Iron Wood Stove No 16 Michigan 1895 Keep warm the old-fashioned way! Up for auction we have an antique cast iron wood-burning stove. Stoves such as this one were used extensively during the turn of the last century to heat homes and offices, using cut firewood. This particular model is elaborately decorated and marked as follows: Michigan Stove Co. Detroit, Chicago, Buffalo Garland Stoves and Ranges 1895 Oak Garland No. 16 Other markings and number designations (like OG. 16 '92 62 ) can be found across the body and inside the doors, and all appear to be original matching components. It has been owned by a single owner for the past 30 years, and has hardly ever been used. It may have been restored at some point, but please check the pictures and note its quality. This stove measures 55" High, with a footprint 27" wide. Note that this is a heavy, sturdy item, and is available for local pick-up only from Chesterton, Indiana (zip 46304), only 60 miles from Chicago.
