Excellent example turn of the [20th] century antique oak roll top desk. Full size (42"w, 59" h, 33" d) unrestored example of Americana. Desk manfuctured in New York City by the Hale Desk Company, a well known and documented furniture manufacturer. Fully functional locking system works flawlessly; all drawers lock when top is closed and top locks with key. Original brass key plate with company name and street address. Many cubbies, drawers and two writing tablets. Old tag on desk claims desk owned by a General Weber of the USMA and is supposedly signed by him as well. Great family heirloom that you can own for a fraction of the $3,000 assessed value. Will move to street from the first floor of my house. Pick up by buyer or prearranged moving company is acceptable with 50% deposit due within 24 hrs. of the auction's end. Please email me with any questions prior to auctions end. Makes a great Xmas gift or simply a great piece of furniture for the family den or office. The correct width is 59 inches, the height is 42 inches and the depth is 33 inches.
