a genuine antique oil painting religious portrait of jesus christ possibly by an italian artist and painted c1850. This antique 19th century genuine antique oil painting on canvas is of jesus christ and is in good overall condition considering it's substantial age . There are no existing holes in the canvas . There does not appear to be any artist signature on the canvas . The frame is a later addition . There is the usual crackling to some of the oil paint surfaces , but there does not appear to be any paint loss and the paint itself does appear to be stable and sound .
