This antique one-of-a-kind shop-made stagecoach is probably around one hundred years old. I picked this unique item up years ago at a Texas ranch estate sale. The stagecoach was originally commissioned and made by a local blacksmith for the youngsters on the ranch and was passed through generations in the family. The coach was made with pride and craftsmanship which is evident in the photos. The stagecoach is constructed with wide planks of wood, metal undercarriage and oilcloth top. With attention given to detail, it is well-trimmed and has features such as doors on each side with glass installed for windows. One of the doors opens for access to the interior of the coach. It has a nicely made coach seat up front and a realistic undercarriage. The wood spoke wheels are wrapped in metal. This piece is solid throughout, aged and used. The only real damage to the stagecoach is to the roof. As you can see in the photos, t is some splitting and separating of the original materials. I suspect that some of this is from use and abuse from children and some, from time.
