This is a gorgeous 217 page, plus several pages of ads, original book on poultry judging. It is entitled "The Philosophy of Judging Fowls" and authored by I K Felch and H S Babcock and illustrated by J Henry Lee. Published by W D Page, Fort Wayne Indiana. Book measures 7" by 5". Beautifully illustrated throughout. Spine has shelf wear at top and bottom. No torn or marked up pages. Book is in what I would call unread condition. All major poultry breeds are included with details. Most illustrations are a full page. The introductory page says " A manual upon the scoring of exhibition fowls; intended to meet the wants of general breeders, and the exhibitor, as well as the professional judge." This book would be a great addition to the collection of anyone with an interest in poultry raising or the collection of antiques related to it.Buyer to pay $4. for shipping and handling to the lower 48 only and all others are more.
