An Antique Amish Faceless Baby Doll _____________ Found Locally in Lancaster County Pennsylvania A darling antique Amish Rag baby doll in need of a loving home. She has a tiny little red checked pattern calico dress and matching bonnet, but they are in very poor condition. The dress has holes and fraying along with some discoloring. T is also a stain on the back which carries through to the doll. The bonnet looks okay, but again is very worn. She also has a sewn on diaper. Her shape is delightful all round and cuddly. Her little pudgy legs curve in front of her, and she is able to sit upright. From the wear overall, you can tell she's been well loved She has several repairs to the body, and is in need of others. She is made of a heavy cotton fabric. T is both machine stitching and handstitching on her body. The basic shape of the doll, the head, the legs and the arm seams have machine stitching. The back of the torso has hand-stitching. The face is made of muslin and it has hand stitching. The back of the neck, and along the sides of the head t are some tiny little traces of old stitching holes. One arm has repair along the shaped thumb, but this is coming undone.
