Description : Form & Function. An antique "Banner Cranberry Scoop", 17-1/2"L, A.D. Makepeace & Co. (Wareham, MA) for W.E. Myrick, early-1900's. Rare.Retains 75% original paper label indicating a patent date of March 17, 1903.Fire-branded on both sides: W.E. MYRICK and hand-carved " XXV " extending partially into the label.Wonderful smaller size. Original untouched surface. The photos are probably the best description.Background : Founded by Abel Makepeace back in 1854, A.D. Makepeace & Co. is currently the largest grower of cranberries in the world.Condition : Honest wear throughout consistent with age, use and years of exposure to the elements, as shown. The metal tines with expected oxidation; the original tarred canvas cloth is long gone.Displays brilliantly; the winning bidder will not be disappointed with this Keeper!See photos for complete details and close-ups.
