Antique Perfecscope Stereo-viewer 51 View Cards 3 Series, Baby Children, Wedding, Cheating, etc..... The Stereo viewer measure a total of 12 1/2" long. Marked on the back: The Perfecscope Trade Mark U.S. Patent October 15th 1895, June 3rd 1902, FEBY11896 Canada France Germany Great Britain Austria Belgium No. 53803. On the top is a medallion that reads: Exposition Universelle International 1900. Aluminum metal viewer with engraved decoration across the top of the eye piece. Two glass lenses. Wooden slide card holder with wire hoops. Wooden folding handle. Around the eye piece is a red velvet fabric band. The band is a bit frayed and loose in some spots. Could be easily repaired. The stereo view cards are of a Wedding, Courtship, Cheating, Americana Humor, Wimsey, Love and Comedy.There is a card series of 11 cards of a man cheating on his wife with the kitchen maid. It starts with the husband and cook in the kitchen as he say's:"Housekeeping begins with a naive french cook. She's a Dandy thought the husband when he took a look". "French cooks are the dearest one can hire but they're the kind I thoroughly admire" The series goes on: "Ah Ha I see why I am forbidden in the kitchen, it's because the cook is so bewitchin". He's a very dapper looking man and she is rolling out dough with a giant wooden rolling pin and wooden dough bowl. - the cards continue as he woo's the girl with hugs and kisses. But then here comes the woman of the house to catch them in the act. "Wait a minute till I see what those hand prints mean! You've been to the kitchen, it's plain to be seen!" (he has flour hand prints on the back of his coat - caught red handed! Madam goes to the kitchen:"You brazen hussy! You shall leave at this hour and the least of your fault is the wasted flour! Back to the husband: "Oh you wretch! This I shall not endure. I shall fire that flirt and a divorce procure". (husband is begging for forgiveness on his knees). The cards continue as Madam fires the maid and she puts on her coat and leaves. The last scene is of the husband and madam cuddling up. He say's: "Oh, your so sweet and those beautiful eyes. By that tricky cook I was hypnotized" The series is from Keystone View Company Copyright 1903. Made in USA Numbers 12312 - 12322The next series is of a wedding. There are 11 cards in the series. They start with women decorating for the Wedding, hanging garlands and decorations and flowers. Next is dressing the bride in her chambers in a long beautiful satin and voile Victorian wedding gown. The maids come in to help - Reflection. Ready for the Groom. The wedding begins: "With this ring I thee wed and all my worldly good I thee endow". The Mothers Kiss. The Wedding March, as children lead the way. Asking the blessing at the huge dining table graced with a lovely wedding cake. The wedding dinner, the vintage clothing is just lovely and so is the dining room. A toast to the health of the bride. And the last - the two are Alone at last in the bedroom in an embrace. The series is from Keystone View Company Copyright 1901. Made in USA. Numbers 10473 - 10483.The next is a series of 12 cards. It is a love story or a comedy sort and starts with - A woman dreams of love, master of the house comes to her aid, they get caught by Mamma in the end. It starts with a woman alone in her room looking sad: "The pensive maid is sad and sighs her lonely hours away" She: "Dreams of Love, and Lovers sees before her prostrate fall. (dreaming) But then - here comes a real man: "Then Masher comes into the room and spies the pretty maid". In the next cards he kisses her hand, Hugs and Kisses and then they hear a noise:"But all good things must have an end - "So when footsteps are heard, His hold he broke, and sought escape, though she at once demurred." She then proceeds to try to hide him in her room disguised as a piece of furniture. Oh Oh her comes Mamma:"There's something up" Mamma looks to sit down (on him hidden as a chair.
