Antique Pewter Beer Stein/Pitcher Dutch/Belgium c.1900s Description: Presented is antique beer stein/pitcher in the very classical shape with a spout. This type of beer vessels are the most traditional ones - they were produced in the same form from 1600s to the modern times. You can see the pitchers like that on many paintings from the 1600s era. These vessels are not German - they were made in Holland and Flanders (modern Belgium) and were very popular in France as well. This particular one is not modern - it is at least 100 years old and maybe older - I cannot say for sure since I only know something about German pewter, not Dutch, but can easily tell an older pewter from a modern one. It is marked with 3 marks with double-headed eagles - I was unable to identify them. Good condition with no damage whatsoever and some oxidation of pewter due to the age. It is 10" tall, 2L capacity. Please note - this is a real beer drinking vessel at least 100 years old, not a copy or fake. I guarantee my dating.
