**International buyers please see below for shipping information. This authentic, original 19th century side spouted pewter tankard has some nice features to it!First, the hallmarks are nice and clear. The engraved "Quart" and the engraved crown over VR over 4 over LLC is quite clear. Additionally, engraved on the underside, in script, is the following: "Plough Bromley Common." This refers to The Plough Inn, Bromley Common, England. I believe The Plough Inn began as a pub in 1733, although I think this tankard is from a much later date, most likely after 1879. Finally, the fancy monogram with the initials "FN" is engraved on the front ( see photos). This tankard stands 6 1/2" tall, has a 4 1/2" diameter at the mouth and weighs 862 grams ( see photos). A very nice addition to your collection! This tankard has been well used and has the appropriate wear and patina for a tankard that is most likely 19th century. There are some dings and some pitting and it is in need of a nice cleaning if that is how you like your pewter. But, it is solid and sturdy and still quite magnificent! Sold " as is" NO RETURNS, so look carefully at photos and ask questions if you are interested.NJ RESIDENTS MUST PAY 6.9% SALES TAX.AK AND HI BUYERS WILL PAY MORE FOR SHIPPING THAN WHAT IS LISTED.**International buyers will have to pay more for shipping than what
