Antique Pharmacy Display Up-Side-Down Glass Bottles Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album ...... The six antique 19th century, hand blown Bottles or Jars in this auction are a mystery. I've never really seen anything quite like them, have you? T are three 8 1/4 inch tall and three 6 3/8 inch tall bottles. They very slightly in height and diameter of the base, because they are hand blown. They have a rolled edge on the bottom, very similar to early flint glasses. Two of the larger bottles have a powdered compound and the other four have seeds. I'm not sure exactly what these were used for. One advertises for cement and another advertises for Thiocarbanilid. Two of the smaller jars have seeds I don't recognize, but two have very old corn kernels. I suspect these jars or bottles were used as a display in a country store or even a pharmacy. If you have any ideas or facts that you wouldn't mind your fellow eBayers knowing, drop me an e-mail and I'll add the information to the bottom of the auction. ...
