Offered is this antique sepia tone photograph (Two men holding the day's fishing catch w/ four boys). Matted in an 8 x 10 frame with painted gold leaf pattern surrounded by a larger frame with trompe l'oiel granite/marble pattern surrounded by a larger frame with gesso surface painted to look like curly maple and then carved through in a leaf and vine pattern. Overall size of the frame is 12 1/4 x 14 1/4 inches. About 2 1/2 inches in thickness from back to front.While an attractive photo, as is, the real news here is the frame which would add that fantastic touch to the right 8 x 10 inch artwork or matted photo of your choice. I see some dust motes or spores inside the glass around the matted photo that should be cleaned out but will leave to new owner when they decide what to do with this piece.In great antique condition but there are several chipped spots on the outer frame of the applied gesso. Three spots in particular, all photographed and pictured with this listing. All could be easily repaired with the right materials.
