Antique late 1800's early 1900's photograph of men working in a limestone quarry either Bedford or Bloomington Indiana area. This photo shows the men using old channelers and wooden pole derricks to cut and extract the limestone from the quarry. The photographer L. E. Shaw of Bloomington Indiana is stamped on the bottom of the border. He was known for covering the Bedford and Bloomington area. The limestone quarry location and company is unknown, but due to the photographer being from Bloomington it is speculated that it could be one of the old companies in the Bedford or Bloomington area. Photo has no writing on the back and with border measures approx. 12 x 10 inches. Photo is in great shape for its age.
