ANTIQUE / OLD PINE BLANKET BOX This is a beautiful antique blanket box that we bought from an antique fair over 10 years ago. It is stripped pine and has never been waxed or polished so this could be done to give a less unfinished effect. The catches and handles are chunky iron and really enhance the overall apperance. These are also unfinished and could be blackened with grate polish if required. There are 2 compartments inside the chest as shown in the picture. As this is an antique, original piece there are the expected marks in the grain of the wood which appear with age. There is a slight crack in part of the top of the box (see picture) I think this adds to the charm and is expected due to its age. It doesnt affect the structure only cosmetic. A really unusual blanket box due to its compact size and looks great in any room of the house either for storage or as a side table. H 17" D 12.5" L 38" Collection from York area and will fit into any car. A very sad sale due to house move but we do not have an inch of spare room! Good Luck any more questions please ask.
