NO RESERVE: Antique compact, portable, plein aire water color paint set. Late-1800s or early-1900s, made in Germany and sold by F.W. Co. of Philadelphia . Logo for company appears to be hand-painted. Set opens up to provide palette for mixing, trays for paint squares, water cup, and water bottle with original cap. All metal with black lacquer exterior and white interior. Has a metal ring to hang the set on an easel when closed and on the thumb when open. The photos show the wear, chipping, scratches, etc. very accurately. This is a wonderful antique piece, perhaps previously owned by a budding impressionist painter? Ready for a new artist to enjoy. If you really understand antiques and the feeling that is innt in vintage tools (regardless of the trade) you will love and appreciate the "feel" of this set! This is a very unique piece in well preserved condition with patina showing that an artist loved and used it!
