Up for auction is an Exquisite Oriental Lady Posing in a Kimono on a Wagon of Hand Painted Pastel Porcelain . Each Piece is Highly Detailed by one of the finest of Figurine Manufacturer's in Germany at the turn of the 19th Century. The Wagon Sits on a Porcelain Base, Framed with an Ornate Gold Metal Band. I examined it carefully with magnification and find evidence of a repair at the back of the neck. The Porcelain Umbrella was made to be held by a tiny hole in the lap print and was probably glued to the inside of the right hand as t is glue residue. The umbrella is separate and t is a piece of old cellophane tape on the underside. I'm not sure what purpose the tape serves, as the umbrella appears to be sturdy with only paint/glaze chips on the underside edge. The Interior of the Wagon is Lined with Sprigs of Flowers and the Large Wheels are Circled with Raised Detail. The Figure measures approximately 7 1/8" Long and 5" High.
