Antique Carl Colyeryahn Dairy Porch Milk Box & Milk BottlesOffered for you consideration is antique painted wood dairy porch box with two milk bottles and milk bottle holder carrying unit. The box has a great rustic weathered patina often found on items of this vintage. When you open the lid there is a list of product to remind you to order them. Also included are two glass milk bottles; one from Schneider's home delivery and one unmarked bottle. Rounding off this offer is a cool milk bottle holder.This would make a terrific display unit for commercial or residential use.A Little History of Colteryahn's DairyColteryahn Dairy is a Pittsburgh, PA staple as the oldest continually run dairy in the area the Colteryahn family has been serving the area since 1893. Colteryahn Dairy is the oldest dairy in Pittsburgh steeped in a long, rich history from the 1870's when the founder, William Colteryahn arrived in Pittsburgh with his family from Hamburg, Germany. At the time the dairy was established in 1893, milk was being received from farmers by train and was distributed over the area in large containers on wagons. Housewives would come to the wagon with their kettles and pans to purchase the milk. In 1917, William's son, Carl opened the Colteryahn Dairy on its present site on Brownsville Road in Carrick, Pennsylvania. For many years, home
