Here is an absolutely fabulous old heavy large cheese dish. Made by Pratt in the late 1800s, it features a Roman Chariot scene in gold set against a black band. Around the edges of the lid and base is a lovely Greek Key design. Incredible condition for its age - no chips or cracks to pottery. Some light wear to transferware designs and a few tiny white spots on the terracotta surface. Weighs over 5lbs and measures just under 10" across the plate and just over 6" high to handle.
