I found on the internet that with a stamp like what is on this piece of pottery, the year it was made was likely somewhere between 1853-1866 The piece measures 9 inches tall and is about 7 1/2 inches across. The blue flower motifis striking and itis in good condition with the only real flaw being the chip on the top edge of the piece which is shown in the pictures. The chip does not jump out at you and I think that overall, the crock is really a beautiful piece. Please review the high definition pictures carefully for condition detail. Found the following online:Charles Hart PotteryCharles Hart was one of a family of potters operating from the 1830′s in the Ogdensburg, Sherburne and Fulton areas of New York. Charles was the son of James Hart, who moved to Sherburne in 1841 to open a pottery, having been a potter in Fulton (then called Oswego Falls) with his brother Samuel.Charles worked with his father until 1858 when he took over as sole operator until 1866. In that year his son Nathum joined the business as a partner and the firm’s name changed to C. Hart and Son. They continued to operate the pottery until 1885.Charles also had another son, Charles Hart Jr., who operated a pottery in Ogdensburg from 1850 to 1858. Successors to this business were W.
