This Is A Very Nice Early Splint Basket That Was Found In A New England Barn. It Measures 12 Inches Wide And 16 Inches Tall. The Handle Looks All Hand Carved To Me. There Is Some Damage To The Bottom Of The Basket On The One Side. The Damaged Area Is About 2 Inches Long. Otherwise Except For A Few Broken Weaves There Are No Other Holes In It. This Was Found In A Barn In The New Hampshire Area. I Would Guess The Basket Is From The Early 19th Century.
