Hello All ... Up for auction is a really old vintage, primitive homemade Magic Yeast dovetailed box with lid and hinges, Measurements are .. 8 5/8 L .. 5 1/4 W .. 3 1/2 H .. The one picture I posted was me taking a pencil and paper and trying to read the printing on the side, You can read some of the printing, Box and dovetails are really nice shape. From the research I did, this company was from around late 1890's to 1920's. Really nice piece. Low starting bid of 6.99. Gillett in 1886. In 1893 Gillett founded the Northwestern Yeast Company in Chicago, Illinois, to manufacture Magic Yeast and its companion product, Yeast Foam.
