Here's a nice-looking antique wooden keg up for bids without reserve. Found in a barn and in very good condition, this little barrel is made of oak staves and has three forged iron bands keeping it tight and secure. It has a carved wooden stopper in an opening on one end and the initials "A.M." carved into the other end. The patina is very nice with dark coloring and very nice graining. There are no problems with termites, dry rot, or woodworms. It stands 14 inches high with the ends measuring between 11 1/2 and 11 3/4 inches in diameter. It weighs 11 1/2 pounds. This keg is solid, rugged and somewhat heavy. It dates back to the 19th Century and will likely last another hundred years! Great for decorating the house or restaurant! Display it with other country antiques and primitives or put it back to use if you make your own wine or beer! The winning bidder adds postage. No Reserve!
