Antique Primitive Early American Butter Paddle ~ Dough Paddle ~ Skimmer ~ Rich Patina ~ Original This is a fine example of a handmade skimmer, dough, or butter paddle. Hand carved from one piece of wood with a notch carved at the end of the handle for hanging off the side of your bowl or butter churn. Looks like maple, but not sure. The patina is outstanding! Measures about 6 1/4" from end to end and 5 1/4" wide across paddle by 5" from paddle end to start of handle. There is an eyelet which has been placed on the back tip of the handle for hanging. Overall great condition for its age. From a German restaurant on the East Coast that closed decades ago. ~ The Victoria Inn, Warren County, New Jersey to be specific. They had this and several antique items on display. Please email any questions you may have. Shipping is based on U.S. mail rates and can always be combined. Smoke and pet free home.
