This is a beautiful Princess Feather pattern quilt from the late 1800s. It measures 66 x 90 inches and includes vivid dark red with a blue-green on white ground. Some of the blue green dyes are fugitive and have faded to the familiar tan or lighter green. Quilting is exceptional at 10 spi and includes sunflower designs, grids and outline stitching across the quilt. Quilting is done in white thread but some of the hand stitched applique work is done in black. T is some slight wear and fading to this quilt but it remains a beautiful example of this hard to find pattern.
