Antique engraving, probably on wood, of THE NEW CHURCH OF St. MARY AT SPRING-GROVE, Isleworth, Middlesex. We found the print, loose and unmounted, when searching through the stock of an antiquarian print shop that has been in storage since a member of our family closed the shop forty years ago. We have established that the Church was built in 1856 and, from the printed advertisements on the rear of this print, it would seem that this print appeared in either THE ILLUSTRATED LONDON NEWS or some similar publication. NB. There are two minor nicks at the lefdt edge of the print which would not be visible when it was mounted & framed.PLATE AREA 240mmx160mmIN FAIR TO GOOD ANTIQUARIAN CONDITION - AND 156 YEARS OLD
