Antique French or French Country Queen Walnut Canopy or Full Tester Bed Beautiful and unique bed, elicits positive comments from all who have seen it. It is solid walnut and in consideration of it's age, is in excellent condition. This is a family heirloom that was purchased in the early 50's in Lexington, Kentucky. Simply put, it's one of a kind. Walnut wood is carved and has a distressed look (i.e., it is not smooth). The walnut color is darker vs. lighter, but not anywhere near black, it's like a warm, rich brown. Bed is easy to put together with large metal hooks on side rails that fit into pre-cut grooves on headboard and footboard. Very sturdy. Bed includes headboard, footboard, left and right side rails, four piece canopy with hardware that holds each corner together, and mattress/box springs slats. Bed has been in my possession since the mid-80's and has been taken care of very well, primarily used in an infrequently used guest room. Length: 87.5" Width: 63.5" Height: 81" A standard Queen mattress and box springs fits perfectly. If you would like more photos, please email via ebay and I will respond asap.
