TONIGHT: Our quilts tonight are good old country quilts, some in better condition than others, all fabulous examples of antique textile folk-art. They quality for the same SATISFACTION-GUARANTEE that all our quilts carry, and any problems will be noted. Take a look! Age: 1930s-era Pattern: Rob Peter to Pay Paul -- old, rather rare, pattern -- this one set into blocks -- this quilt displays FABULOUS visuals and GORGEOUS, BOLD colors against a coppery background -- the perfect decor piece for the fall/harvest season -- will fit any setting from cottage/cabin-style to Farmhouse Victorian to Moderne Art -- this one is as FOLKY as they come -- if you like the primitive, prairie-style look...this one should be calling your name -- true antique textile-art! Fabrics: All 100% cottons -- some depression-era FEEDSACK fabrics, and some earlier calicos -- narrowly banded and backed in solid tan with a greenish cast -- has the mottled appearance of an old home-dyed, vegetable-dyed material -- straight edges. Batting: Light to medium-weight old hand-carded cotton batting that came straight from the cotton patch. Handwork: Totally hand-pieced and hand-quilted in rows and circular medallions, following the design of the quilt at 5-6 small stitches per inch -- everything nicely-executed for an old country quilt.
