ANTIQUE Quimper Egg Cups Chickens 3 - RARE FORM Humorous and functional. These old egg cups were made by the best known French Faience manufacturer. From a grand old estate and part of a larger lot (a picture is included so you can see all of them). You are bidding for three Quimper faience egg cups. These were molded in the form of chickens or hens and made sometime around 1920-30. Each egg cup was hand painted in colors of blue, yellow, and russet red on a cream tin glazed background. The egg cups will hold a large sized soft boiled egg. They measure about 1 7/8 in. across the opening; around 4 3/8 in. head to tail and around 2 3/8 in. high. Each is signed on the bottom Henriot Quimper and artist numbered 83, 83 and 97. Bit of soiling inside the cups. One hen has a chipped beak (could be repaired). Bidding starts at $99 with no reserve.
