Up for auctionis a pair of vintage police handcuffs made from the Peerless HandcuffCompany in Springfield, Mass. These are a great collectible for any restraint, gun, or police antique collector and the first I've ever seen. They are the Rare Lightweight 7oz Model NOT the standard 10oz weight. My guess is Peerless made these "detective model" design for easy consealment and weight for the detective as did other vintage Handcuff makers. They have a low serial # indicating not many made, and o verall they're in good condition for their age, but have scratches. They're made of 100% stainless steel and single and double lock are very solid. The patent number is 157 which puts their construction date between 1925 - 1932, see patent page: /patents?id=qxRnAAAAEBAJ&dq=1872857 . Includes the original carrying case. Serious bidders only, good luck!!
