Antique machine silk embroidered shawl. Circa 1920. Copper colored embroidery on red ground. Size without fringe: 47" x 49.5"Macramé: 1.5", Fringe: 15 inches. Condition: T is a mended tear 5.75" long on one edge (picture #2) and another that is 1.5" long on another edge (picture #4). W the fabric meets the fringe, t is a 2" reinforcement mend on the edge by the longer mend and two shorter ones in a couple of more areas by the edge. T are several areas at the point w the long fringe is connected to the fabric in which the silk has been pulled creating a small hole (See picture #4). T are six or so tiny holes (pin size to 1/8") in the body of the shawl. T is some fraying of the silk near one of the big flowers (see pictture #5). The red is dark and vibrant and the copper/salmon color of the embroidery and fringe is pleasant. The shawl can be folded into a triangle to hide the two mended tears. Payment: Paypal or money order.
