Up for your consideration is thisAntique Roberts Dairy Advertising Butter Crock Stoneware Container Omaha Nebr This one pound stoneware butter crock advertises an Omaha, NE dairy called Roberts, Incorporated, now called Hiighland Dairy. The glaze is uniform and a rich brown color with no chips or cracks, the imperfections that I do see are from the manufacturing process. Crock measures 5 1/2 " in diameter by 3 1/2 " in height. The name Roberts is in raised script on the front. I found this item when cleaning out my cabinets so special to me because it was either my mother's or grandmother's. I remember when I was a little girl in Co. Bluffs Iowa, Roberts Dairy delivering Milk etc. to our door, we even had a little metal box that they would put our orders in when too early or we were not home. Really brings back some memories for me but cleaning as my kids really don't want a lot of antiques and I don't what to leave a lot of stuff that they will have to sort through.
