Beautiful Decorative Chocolate Pot Up for bid is a very delicate fine china Bavarian chocolate pot which has a Rosenthal mark which dates this particular antique pot to 1898- 1906. The marking is a crossed line mark with initials R. C. on either side and a crown above. Below this is MONBIJOU in caps and a small Bavaria under that. The pot measures 8.25" to the top of the spout and the bottom circumference is 3.75". The handle is perfect and looks like a scrolling vine going up a branch. Nice gold accents the soft pink and green handpainted flowers and stems. Now for the nitty gritty. T is a repaired break in the spout- you can see this in the last picture, and a very small chip off the inside of the rim. Way down on the very bottom is a spot of something- like a tiny pebble which I can't break loose and on the lid, a lt.grey smudge which won't rub off. Despite these imperfections, a beautiful piece.
